Student Matinee Stage production (PreK-5th grade)

Asheville Community Theatre is offering student matinees of selected shows in our Mainstage season. After the success of last season, ACT will continue to partner with Bright Star Touring Theatre and Red Herring Puppets for additional student matinees. Our Student Matinee performances are exciting and inspiring – they are a great way for your students to experience live theatre!

Our productions and their accompanying study guides support the following NC Essential Standards:

• Arts Education Essential Standards in Theatre Arts:
  o Use movement, voice, and writing to communicate ideas and feelings. (K-5.C.1)
  o Use performance to communicate ideas and feelings. (K-5.C.2)

Teacher guides with class activities will be available to all classes in attendance.

Tickets and Information

Student matinee tickets are $7. Reservations are first come, first serve, and seating is limited. Reservations can be made online or by phone. One free chaperone ticket is given per 25 paid tickets.

If any student is unable to attend due to financial circumstances, financial assistance may be available.
