Asheville Outlets is partnering with iHeart Media, 99.9 Kiss County and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve this holiday season for the annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive Marathon. Morning show hosts Eddie Foxx and Sharon Green (99.9 KISS COUNTRY) will be joined by representatives of the Marine Corps for a two-day live broadcast at Asheville Outlets beginning at 6 a.m. on December 15th and finishing at 9 p.m. on December 16th. The radio marathon is a push to collect as many toys and cash contributions before the campaign concludes on December 16th. Donations will be distributed throughout eight Western North Carolina counties. Last year WNC Toys for Tots helped over 9,000 area children. About Toys for Tots – The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
