Are you feeling alone in your unschooling/self-directed education choice? Having hesitations about making the decision to switch, or worried if it’s really the right thing to do? Not sure how to explain it to your extended family? Or maybe you’re celebrating the wonders that come with your kids being empowered and in control of their own lives? Or you’re wanting to connect with other local unschoolers?
We’re creating this event to bring together our unschooling/SDE community, and support families who are pioneering this evidence-based paradigm of education. We’ll have a panel of SDE educators, as well as experienced unschooling families to answer questions and provide emotional support. We’ll deepen our connections with each other and plan future events together. We’re providing free childcare for kids 3+. Younger kids can be with you in the meeting as long as they’re not disruptive to the flow of the conversation. We intend for this event to be a safe place for people of color and all other minority groups. So looking forward to this gathering! -Justina, Keli, Hany
