Summer Meals at NO COST (2-18yrs)
SUMMER FOOD SITES FOR KIDS & TEENS!
No child should have to go without food this summer, while school is out. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) ensures that children in need continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. This summer, USDA plans to serve more than 200 million free meals to children 18 years and under at approved SFSP sites. If you, or anyone you know is in need, we have several meal sites in our area. To find the site closest to you and their schedule, visit the USDA link below, or text “Summer Meals” to 97779, and they’ll link you to the website to enter your zip code. FREE!

MORE FREE SUMMER MEAL SITES!
In addition to the USDA Summer Food Service Program (above), Asheville City Schools, Buncombe County Schools, and YMCA of Western North Carolina have partnered together to insure no students go hungry this summer, by giving school-age children (age 18 and younger) access to healthy, nutritious meals every weekday during the summer break, when school is out and free/reduced lunches aren’t available. The Y’s Nutrition Outreach team will begin serving meals at no charge on June 11th at ACS sites and on June 18th at BCS sites.
