Moonwalk over to the Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Party on Saturday, June 1 at the South Asheville/Oakley Branch Library. Launch time is from 10 a.m.-noon. You won’t have to worry about the atmosphere, because it is going to be a lot of fun. Parking is free, so no need to stress about parking meteors. Some of the activities include:
– Space Dance Party Featuring Some Great NepTUNES from The Skrillbillies
– Space-Themed Games and Activities Including Planet Ball, Asteroid Toss, Chalk Art, and Giant Stand-In Bubbles
– A Giant, Inflatable Planetarium from Asheville Museum of Science
– Storytime
– Photo Booth
– NCDOT Motorgrader
– WNC Nature Center with Biofacts
– Wooden Planet Keychain and Bracelet Crafts
