Celebrate the arrival of SERAFINA AND THE SPLINTERED HEART with #1 New York Times Best Selling author Robert Beatty and his family at an All-Day Launch Party on Sunday, July 2, at Barnes & Noble-Asheville Mall. The fun runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Be among the first readers in the nation to get the eagerly anticipated third book in the hit mystery-thriller Serafina Series from Disney Hyperion. SPLINTERED HEART is set for nationwide release on July 3, but we’re getting things started early in Serafina’s hometown.
The SPLINTERED HEART LAUNCH PARTY is a free, open house-style event. No ticket or purchase is necessary to attend. Numbered wristbands will be distributed to manage the book signing line to meet and talk with the author.
Fun Serafina themed activities are planned throughout the day, including:

-Live presentations with birds of prey (2-5 p.m.)
-Readings by a professional actor of the opening chapters of SPLINTERED HEART (3 and 5 p.m.)
-Caricature artists (1-5 p.m.)
-Roving magician (1-4 p.m.)
-Face painting (2-5 p.m.)
-Free food and drink (all day) and Serafina Dark Forest ice cream (2-5 p.m.)
-Serafina giveaways (all day)
SPLINTERED HEART continues the adventures of Serafina, a brave and unusual cat-like girl, and her friend Braeden Vanderbilt, who live at the grand Biltmore Estate during the 1890s amidst the splendor of the Gilded Age and the rugged beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Young and old alike are enjoying the series, a spooky, Southern gothic thriller that mixes history, mystery, and magic. The book is being taught in more than a thousand classrooms nationwide.
