School Day Out Adventures @ different area attractions

School Day Out Adventures

9am-5pm
Join us for a fun day of outdoor adventure. Participants should bring lunch, water, snack and wear activity appropriate clothing and footwear. All school day out adventures have a minimum of 6 participants and a maximum of 12.

 

October 10 (Ages 7-10) … Nature Play Day
Today’s focus will be on animal habitats and exploration. We’ll spend the day exploring the wild world of animals through fun games and activities then take a trip to the WNC Nature Center to see the animals up close.
Fee: $20; City of Asheville Residents get a $5 discount!

 

November 12 (Ages 8-10) … Hiking & Geocaching the Hickory Nut Gorge
We’ll head east toward Gerton where we will hike and explore trails in the Hickory Nut Gorge. We will eat lunch along the trail and try our hand at geocaching. Depart from the Rec Park Picnic Shelter.
Fee: $20; City of Asheville Residents get a $5 discount!

 

December 20 (Ages 8-12) … Outdoor Play and Pool Fun
We’ll spend the morning playing games and then splash away the afternoon at the pool and water park. Meet at the Oakley Recreation Center.
Fee: $20; City of Asheville Residents get a $5 discount!

 

Jan 21st (Ages 8-12) … Snow Tubing
We never know when or if there will be enough snow to sled in WNC, but we can enjoy some time on the slopes, snow tubing at a local resort. We’ll spend a portion of the day tubing and enjoy other winter themed activities throughout the day. *Trip is subject to change if warm temperatures limit snowmaking. Fee: $45, City of Asheville residents receive a $5 discount. Please note that all outdoor programs are weather dependent. The type of activity or its location may be altered based on weather or site conditions.

We will always do our best to offer comparable activities, as we do not offer refunds due to a change to a similar program. We will, of course, provide refunds in the event a program is cancelled.

Preregistration is required and a program may be cancelled 7 days in advance if minimum participation is not met.
