MARCH 24TH: Rockin’ Reptiles and Epic Amphibians … Presented by Chimney Rock State Park: Reptiles and amphibians are often confused, but don’t even think they’re the same.  The difference between these two groups of mysterious animals is vast and intriguing.  Investigate these fascinating critters with a Naturalist and meet some of Chimney Rock’s resident ambassadors.  All ages are welcome! Free and open to the public- this program is paid for by the Friends of the Mills River Library.

APRIL 17TH: Radical Raptors and Marvelous Mammals … Many mammals and birds of prey have always fascinated us and are the origin of many legends.  Realizing the importance of these predators, and sometimes prey, will help you understand the role they play in our ecosystem.  This fun program will discuss birds of prey and animal traits, various habitats, and even address some unwarranted bad raps!  Don’t forget your camera for photos of some of our most popular animal ambassadors.  All ages are welcome! Free and open to the public- this program is paid for by the Friends of the Mills River Library.
