“Jazz meets classical in our first Pianoforte concert of the year with two special guests!
Pianist, composer, and Steinway artist Michael Jefry Stevens performs extensively in Europe, Latin America, and North America. He has composed over 340 original works for a variety of musical settings, from solo piano to 15-piece jazz big band. He has released over 80 recordings featuring his own music and has performed and/or recorded with many of the top names in jazz.
Dr. Deborah Belcher performs frequently and has played throughout the eastern United States and Canada as soloist and collaborative pianist. The Cleveland Plain Dealer praised the “lyrical expressiveness” of her playing, and The Grand Rapids Press commented that “her playing breathes with believable emotional force.” She maintains studios in Asheville and Hendersonville, and is executive director of Bel Cher Music.
Pianoforte concerts fill up quickly, so reserve your seats early!”

“We are aware that our opening hours are a little restricted for the working gardener, so every Thursday we are opening until 730PM, and if we’re opening late then we want to have some fun.
We’ll have tea.
We’ll have biscuits.
We want to talk gardening.
That’s our idea of a great night!
Talk Gardening
We’re opening our doors for a Sow True Seed tour, so feel free to turn up and snoop around. We’ll show you where all the action happens and answer any questions you have.
We’ll tidy our break room and share our impressive collection of gardening books and magazines. Come and grab a cup of tea and browse the library.
Asheville has an awesome community, so this can be a platform to meet fellow gardeners and learn from each other.
There’ll be Sow True Seed people hanging around to chat, monitor biscuit consumption and answer any questions.
You can plan your garden, ask variety questions, share experiences and did we mention – tea and biscuits?”

“Join us for a party with all your favorite princesses and heroes as we celebrate dreams, wishes and the excitement that comes with living in a fairytale. Come dressed as your favorite character and enjoy light refreshments as you participate in this live, interactive stage show, but be careful, because there are a couple of villains lurking in the shadows that will do anything to keep us from our happily-ever-afters. Space is limited, so reservations are suggested and can be made at the theatre box office by calling 828-524-1598. This event takes place on the SMCPA stage with tables available for groups of six or less. Some smaller groups may be combined to allow the maximum number of participants. Everyone in attendance will need a ticket. Come sing, dance and celebrate!
