“The evening promises to be a fun filled event that is great for kids and adults and will guarantee to put a smile on your face! This event is hosted by the Oakley Elementary PTO, and it is being held at UNC Asheville’s Kimmel Arena.
The Harlem Wizards have a unique mission: create awe-inspiring events throughout the country. At a Wizards game, fans will witness amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy. Its two hours of family time where parents, grandparents, and kids can all laugh together. When you’re in the stands, you’ re more than a spectator; you’ re part of the show with loads of audience participation. Throughout the game, fans will experience a magical display of tricks, coordinated ball handling, fancy passing and aerodynamic athleticism combined with high-energy comedy and audience interaction. The experience can only be summed up in two words: Awe-Inspiring!
Tickets purchased before the event are . Tickets can be purchased at the Oakley Elementary office until the day of the game, on the day of the game at the Justice Center at 6:00pm, and online at www.harlemwizards.com.

LilaDance! and Family Jam

On the first Friday of the month LilaDance! will be followed by a free form family house party from 7-8, details TBA.
LilaDance!, to make it simple, is a creative movement session for families and babywearing mamas.
But if you’d like to get a little more in depth, it is a piece of me that I wish to share with anyone and everyone needing to remember the forgotten and hidden sides of them. When we grow up, we forget our inner child. When we begin having children, we find our passions get lost. When we stop making time to get quiet and still, we stop recognizing inner wisdom.
Lila, in Sanskrit, means “play.” In LilaDance! we play, we dance, we move, we pretend, we listen, we yell, we sing, we give energy to these forgotten pieces within ourselves. Play In and Around Childhood Toy Themed Foam Structures
Mall Hours are Monday through Saturday 11:00am-7:00pm and 11:00am-6:00pm on Sundays.
KEEP IN MIND: Although the stores don’t open until a certain time, the mall doors reportedly open 2 hours earlier for mall walkers and early birds. This includes the soft play area in the food court! BUT the playground is subject to closing during that early time for an hour for cleaning, and when they re-open depends on what time cleaning began. “The play area does get cleaned in the morning and it takes over an hour to clean the entire area. We do our best to have it open as early as possible but the hours do vary on some days.”
