MUMMENSCHANZ: The Musicians of Silence stage production
“Since this pioneering theatre company’s 1972 emergence in Paris, its universe of whimsy and innovation has been delighting audiences everywhere. Imagine four actors with props such as oversized rulers, beanbags, pipe cleaners — and absolutely no sound or music. With shadow, light, and sculptural masks, the actors engage with the audience and each other without ever needing to make a sound. This is the hard-to-describe, wonderfully entertaining, trust-all-the-great-reviews performance made famous by MUMMENSCHANZ. Transcending cultural barriers to communicate timeless truths and insights on the human condition, MUMMENSCHANZ is a family-friendly must-see.”

Aquila Theatre in William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet stage production
“The New York- and London-based Aquila Theatre Company returns with a re-imagined and invigorating staging of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
A story of romance, murder and tragedy as famous as any that has graced the stage is brought to life in this all new production. Recognized worldwide as one of theater’s most iconic couples, Romeo and Juliet are the very archetype of tragic young lovers. Set against a backdrop of warring households, a young Romeo sneaks into a masked ball where he first beholds Juliet and is thunderstruck by Cupid’s arrow. As fate dictates, they succumb to the passion of forbidden love against the will of their powerful and unforgiving families. Through Shakespeare’s beautiful prose and impeccable acting these star-crossed lovers take your breath away.
Pre-performance discussion: Aquila Theatre company members will lead a pre-performance discussion at 7:00 p.m. prior to the 8:00 p.m. performance, in The Forum off of the main lobby. Pre-show discussions are free to ticket holders. Seating is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. We regret that patrons may not be admitted to pre-show discussions after 7:10 p.m.”

Aquila Theatre in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
“Spend an evening of mystery, suspense and intrigue with the definitive and most famous detective in world literature. As a master of disguise, a brilliant actor, a composer and musician skilled in forensic science and logical reasoning, is there anything Sherlock Holmes can’t do? Joined by many of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s other vivid characters — the trusted sidekick Dr. Watson, the red-headed mason Jabez Wilson, and Irene Adler, the woman who got away — the legendary Holmes maneuvers the twisted web of London’s most intriguing cases with his clever, split second deductions. With actors drawn from the top British and American stages, Aquila Theatre brings its energetic and physical style to this witty and fast-paced adaptation of the classic.
