Handwriting of the Heart: Valentine Workshop
Get a little inspiration for your Valentine this year! Drop by the site throughout the day to create your own love letter at this free workshop.
During the two years before their 1853 wedding, Zebulon Vance and Harriet Espy exchanged over 100 love letters. Using Hattie and Zeb’s words as inspiration, craft a valentine for your own beloved! Try out a vintage salutation, make a stab at quill pen writing or calligraphy, and finish your letter with a wax seal.

Kirby Family Farm’s Ghost Town in the Sky Wild West Weekend and Reunion

Mardi Gras Party – Downtown Marion
We might not call the Big Easy home but nothing is stopping us from throwing our own Mardi Gras celebration!
Dress up in your finest green, purple, and gold. Don’t forget your beads, masks, and feathers and come celebrate in downtown Marion.
Lots of downtown businesses have all sorts of fun things planned. Check in with individual places for special happenings.
Round up your krewe and parade on down the sidewalks of Marion for this festive celebration.

FREE Community Meal

Help The Henson Family
Come join “Jackson Farm Mobile Petting zoo” and friends, as we host an event free of charge, to help the Henson Family.
We invite all to bring all the help needed for the Henson family at the event.

This event will bring the joy and Hope for the Henson children and their parents. It will also bring the love of humanity in our communities together.
I like to give a huge Thank you! to the hundreds of people sending beautiful messages, reaching out,
Showing their love, and helping.
This was a tragedy that has impacted the people in our communities and even people from out of state… A tragedy that has no words on how to express the pain and suffering the Henson’s have endured.
This tragedy has hit my heart and I needed to do something to help. The Henson’s are my naighbors whom just moved recently to their home.
I met them on the day this tragedy occurred.
I rush next door and it was like the saddest seen ive ever witness. I grabbed our new baby lamb and let the children hold it, for comfort.
I was holding back my tears and trying to breath as i seen the pain in their little eyes of the children. I talked to the children and promise that things will get better starting tomorrow . I had no idea what i was talking about, but i knew i needed to say something to give them hope. I knew also that God has control of what was happening.
The children became calm as they held the baby lamb.
I had to do more.
The event is in dedication to this family that lost everything including their pets. 😥
Its wonderful to see that we can all make a difference to help them rebuild their lives.
We hope to see everyone there to help, love, aid, give, and support this sweet family.
We will have a truck on site to load and deliver all items to their storage unit.
Food, refreshments, snacks are provided by our friends in our communities.
Entry for the event is free, the cost for the Petting zoo area is 5.00 All proceeds, funds and items will go directly to the Henson family.
This is a family friendly event to open our hearts and help this family who are broken hearted.
The Henson’s will be there.
Also “Zippy” the baby zebra will be there for the first time to meet and greet everyone!
Including all the animals from Jackson farm Mobile Petting zoo.
Thank you all for your love and support for this sweet family.
Please continue praying for the Henson family as each day may seem for ever to heal their broken hearts, suffering and have a normal life again.
