DONâT COUNT YOUR CHICKENS UNTIL THEY CRY WOLF, a musical romp through Aesopâs fables* stage production (5+yrs)
“Aesop was never so charming as in DONâT COUNT YOUR CHICKENS UNTIL THEY CRY WOLF, a tour de force of Aesopâs world. This musical, filled with ancient wisdom and todayâs wit, clever lyrics and singable modern music, Â involves every age in tuneful pleasure.
Highlights include: the famous race of tortoise and hare (âYou got to keep on keeping onâ); a soft-shoe number by the fox (âFlatter them, and youâll walk away with the cheeseâ); a rousing peasant dance in the bundle of sticks (âThe trick is to stick togetherâ); a chorus line of sheep (âIf heâs got fleece but the wrong kind of nose, maybe heâs simply a wolf in sheepâs clothesâ)”
