YMCA MOBILE MARKETS!
More than 1.6 million people are food insecure in North Carolina. The Y is working hard to bridge the gap and provide access to reliable, affordable, and nutritious food to our community. Each week, the nutrition team at the YMCA of WNC Community Health is in the community distributing FREE fresh produce from one of their mobile markets. Each distribution is paired with healthy recipes, a cooking demonstration, and nutrition information. Distributions are FREE and open to the ALL. No questions asked.
The Girl Scout Shop will be open on Saturday, February 1 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., so come and get your retail needs!
Also! We are offering a FREE drop-in activity for ALL girls in our community to pamper themselves between noon – 2 p.m.! We’ll make bath bombs, write love notes to ourselves, learn about (and make!) a healthy snack and love our best selves! Bring a friend to join you! Come by to treat yourself! Open to current Girl Scouts and girls NOT in Girl Scouts (yet).
