Geology Walk of Downtown Asheville
Join us on a geologic tour of the beautiful architecture in downtown Asheville. The tour will be about an hour long, and will begin from the Colburn Museum at 3pm. The tour is free with the price of admission to the museum. Call ahead and reserve your spot before it fills up!

Police Explorer Program (14+yrs)
Are you 14-20 years of age and interested in a career in law enforcement? If you answered yes Asheville Police Explorers is the program for you! You have the opportunity to learn from trained professionals, participate in scenarios, become involved in community service and participate in ride-alongs. The group meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month from 6-8 p.m. at the downtown police station (100 Court Plaza).

5th Annual Kids Get Outside Festival
Join us for the 5th annual Kids Get Outside Festival, hosted by the City of Brevard and Brevard College on Saturday, April 23rd, 2016 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Broad Street Park, located beside the Transyvania County Library. Over 35 outstanding organizations who facilitate outdoor opportunities in Transylvania County will provide activites and information for a fun-filled family day celebrating the outdoors!

The Event is Free!! But we are selling Hamburgers and Hotdogs for $2.00 all proceeds help the Dream Home.

Free Poetry Workshop & Performance (8-12yrs)
April is National Poetry Month! Kids approximately 8-12 years old are invited to join in a 30-minute session of playing word games and writing poems as a group, followed by a 15-minute performance. Led by Chris Martin, local elementary teacher and director of the youth improv group A Gaggle of Giggles.
No reservation needed…just come and join the fun!

Bluegrass, Bikes & Beers
Come hang at Oskar Blues Brewery for the 2016 Bluesgrass, Bikes & Beer! This years event also doubles as the Cradle to Grave 30k and 10k Trail Race pre-party and packet pickup.
Schedule of Events:
3:00 p.m. : Group MTB ride or trail run in Pisgah National Forest (leaves from the brewery)
4:00 p.m. : Cradle to Grave Packet Pickup begins
5:00 p.m. : Tour of the brewery
5:30 p.m. : Music from Travis Book (of The Infamous Stringdusters) and the Fireside Collective.
7:00 p.m. : Tour of the brewery
8:00 p.m. : Packet pickup ends
