Teen Volunteer Opportunity
June 13th-17th 9am-3pm … Stay for just a few hours, or stay all day
ArtSpace Charter School in Swannanoa needs your help! They had a flood last winter break right before school started back, and did what they could to fix some of the damage, but now that it’s summer break and the students and teachers are out, it’s time to complete the repairs! “There is still lots to be done but we will begin with repairing the tile floors. We will begin scraping up all the water damaged tile in the building and taking it to an outside dumpster. This will not require any special skills, just a pair of gloves and a strong body! Teenagers willing to lend a hand are welcome!!! “Many hands make quick work!””
There will be a lot of activity and a lot of contractors in the building, as well as Volunteers from other organizations, so we would like to request that you leave small children at home to keep them safe.
Be sure to sign in in the front lobby when you arrive.
