After surveying the crowd at our summer event, we’ve decided to host our Sneak Peek parties bimonthly instead of just twice a year. Kids 8-12 can choose from tables full of ARCs (Advance Reader Copies) of books that will be published in the coming months. Take home a few to read and review for the bookstore before publication–we want your opinions, and so do the publishers!
The cost is $10 per person and includes pizza and a drink, plus books to take home. Attendees agree to send us a review of at least one forthcoming book before its publication date, which will be printed on each advance copy.
Space is limited to 12, so pre-registration is strongly suggested.
Pizza will be warmer closer to 6, but drop in anytime. Parent drop-off okay.
$10 per person
ages 8-12
Kid book reviewers ages 8-12 needed! Grab a stack of ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies) of not-yet-published books that won’t hit the shelves until summer, take them home and review them for the bookstore.
We’ll be joined by Laurie McKay, author of the funny and action-packed Last Dragon Charmer trilogy. The third and final book, Realm Breaker, will be hot off the presses. Laurie will have give-aways and answer questions about the series.
Registration required, as space is limited. $10 covers pizza and soft drinks.
OR… you can pre-order Realm Breaker for $16.99 and it covers your registration, plus you go home with a beautiful signed hardcover book and a stack of ARCs! Parent drop-off is fine–just come back at 7:00.
A show designed to get your eager readers running, hopping, and sprinting into your library!
Join us in celebrating Father’s Day. The grills will be flaming and we will have hot dogs (and topping bar), yard games, a jump castle for the kids and the Kona Ice truck will be there! Don’t miss this fun community event. It’s free and open to the public.
