Reptiles? In the LIBRARY? You bet! Come to see KidSenses: Reptiles Live at the Mars Hill Library. We’ll discover how these unique creatures thrive and learn about the important role they play in their environment.

Billy Jonas Band Family Show

The Billy Jonas Band is bringing their creative, interactive and soul-inspiring family show to The White Horse in Black Mountain, NC on Sunday July 24th at 3pm. In their “funky folk music show for the whole family,” the band creates a collaborative musical experience, a “neo-tribal hootenanny” featuring original “voice and percussion”-based songs with a generous dose of audience participation.

They’re a rare group of performers who can engage both young and adult audiences with music that combines conventional instruments (guitar, bass, marimba) with homemade creations (using buckets and barrels, keys and cans, bells and body percussion). The result is a sound that is inspirational and facilitates connection and community through participation in all the fun.

1LUV Food & Music Festival

***UPDATE!!! We’ve been advised that the vendors who supply the fair rides have pulled out unexpectedly, and that there will no longer be rides at the festival.

1LUV Food & Music Festival is a four day festival Headlined by American Idol Winner Caleb Johnson. There will be 35 musicians performing, 25 food trucks serving great food, Ultimate Air Dog show, Beer trailers, Fair rides, Raffle prizes and more…

This festival will benefit the nonprofits Homeward Bound, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue and ABCCM.

Miles Avery: American Ninja Warrior Watch Party!

Our own, Miles Avery, will be competing in the American Ninja Warrior City Finals, and we will be having another watch party at Buffalo Wild Wings off of Tunnel Road!!

The event will air on TV at 8:00 p.m., but the party is starting at 7:00 p.m. We encourage everyone to come out close to 7:00 p.m. to meet/hang out with Miles, get some food and enjoy the company of friends!

Once again, please RSVP to this event if you plan to come, because we need to give Buffalo Wild Wings an expected number of people attending by Saturday, August 20th by noon!! If you are RSVPing for multiple people, please, once again, leave a comment on our Facebook page to help us have an accurate head count!!

Annual 4th of July Trolly Train Ride

Bring the family out to ride the rails and celebrate the fourth! Trolley train rides begin at 11am and depart on the hour. Call for more information and to book your reservation. Hot dog, chips, and a drink included in the price.
