Time to Ride Challenge Workshop (5-65yrs)
Saturdaysm 6/11, 7/9, 7/23, 8/13, and 8/20 2:00pm-4:00pm
An educational Summer event where kids and adults can have a hands on experience with horses. You will be guided and taught by members of the 4-H Hoofbeats Club of Henderson County.
The liability waiver at the link above must be signed by a parent before and turned in the day of the scheduled event.
Children 18 and under must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult.

Folkmoot, a word meaning “meeting of the people,” provides communities all over Western North Carolina the opportunity to build a deeper sense of connection, mutual respect and shared purpose by experiencing other cultures. Independence Day Sunset Fireworks Hike
This year, celebrate the Fourth of July with your family, friends, guests, and the Swannanoa Valley Museum on a 1.5-mile, moderate hike to the peak of Sunset Mountain. Here, Museum guests will enjoy an old-fashioned watermelon cutting, and then stay to watch the sun set and the fireworks explode over the town of Black Mountain. Hike leaders will share the history and vintage photographs of this most historic place over dinner. Bring a picnic, water, folding chairs, cameras, and flashlights. The Museum will provide watermelon and transport cargo to the summit.

Jump Two: Tinikling (all ages)
Discover the traditional Philippine dance which originated during the Spanish colonial era. The dance involves two people beating, tapping, and sliding bamboo poles on the ground and against each other in coordination with one or more dancers who step over and in between the poles in a dance. Now, are you curious?!
