Opera Talk:: Man of La Mancha Sneak Peek
If you can’t wait for Asheville Lyric Opera’s debut performances of Man of La Mancha, good news!
At our next Opera talk, ALO and the cast of Man of La Mancha will present a concert of highlights from the show. This free concert will give you a chance to see our fantastic cast members in action including renowned Metropolitan Opera star David Malis, the amazing triple-threat Donata Cucinotta, and the brilliant Scott Wichael.

Summer Art Classes with Molly Angel (Rising 1st-6th Grade)
Hi all, this is Molly Angel, artist, potter, and teacher. I am again offering week-long classes this summer at my home studio off Airport Road near the Ag Center.
Elementary Camp: July 25-29, 2016. Rising grades 1-6. 10:00 am – 12 noon OR 2 pm – 4 pm
Drawing, Painting, 3-D Sculpture, Clay, loads of new techniques and mediums, art history, hands on, FUN.

Vacation Bible School (4-12yrs)
July 17th-21st
Light meal at 5:30pm
The program portion is from 6-8 PM which is preceded by a meal for the kids at 5:30 PM. Come a few minutes early Monday for FREE registration. Our Bible School welcomes children ages 4 thru 12 years old.
Done in partnership with Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Appalachian Heritage Festival
Nearly 50 live demonstrations will be showcased and will feature the essence of life in Appalachia. You’ll see quilters, wood carvers, canoe builders and even a live, working gem mining flume.
Many other events are planned including a firetruck display and face painting for the kids, Plus music from guitar to dulcimer, banjo to flute and even piano.
There will also be a checker tournament at the Macon County Historical Museum. That is sure to be a blast from the past.

It’s finally here! The much anticipated sequel to Robert Beatty’s bestselling Serafina and the Black Cloak has arrived and we will be celebrating with Beatty himself as well as few of the characters from the series. This IS a ticketed event, but the $5 ticket can be used as a $5 towards the purchase of the book.

Families: Make your voice heard! We invite YOU to participate in the creation of the new Asheville Art Museum.
The Museum is excited to have begun a major renovation and construction project that will transform our space and programs. Join us for a preview of the new Museum, an update on construction, and give us feedback on areas of growth, opportunity, and sustainability.
