A free series of classic Technicolor films at the North Asheville library on Saturdays in July. All films start at 2pm.

Come join the musicians of Pan Harmonia for a fun and interactive program of music from around the world. Listen and learn about the flute, bassoon, and guitar, a trio of unlikely instruments that are the best of friends as they combine their individual sounds to make beautiful music together.
Play Wii games on the BIG screen and make tiny buttons. Snacks included.
Meet a ranger from the National Park Service! Learn about cool things for kids on the Blue Ridge Parkway! Find out how to be a Junior Ranger!
Get creative and do some good as we make dog toys and then donate them to all the dogs living at Brother Wolf Animal Rescue!
Registration is REQUIRED for this event. Call the library to sign up starting June 1st.

The 16th annual Groovin’ on Grovemont summer concert series returns to Grovemont Square (adjacent to the Swannanoa Library) on July 10, July 24 and August 7, at 6:00 p.m.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and come enjoy these family-friendly evenings of great music! The concert series is free and open to the public. Concessions, including hot dogs and home-baked goods, are available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Swannanoa Library and the Swannanoa Community Council.

7/24/2018: The Wonderful Nobodies – a Nashville-based group all hailing from the Appalachian region of Virginia and NC. A unique blend of bluegrass, pop, soul & country.
8/7/2018: Rhoda Weaver and the Soul Mates – a local band out of WNC. The band plays everything from Motown to the Animals to Etta James to Fleetwood Mac.
For those that have supported and loved Pisgah Brewing from the beginning, way back in 2005… You will remember the smoke-filled courtyard on Thursdays when Charley King, resident Jamaican Jerk expert and sauce maker, would grill up a storm with his one-of-a-kind Jamaican Jerk Chicken plates!
Well, today Charley King is an entrepreneur of his own sauce distribution company, Charley King’s Jamaican Jerk Sauce! Charley’s sauces are making their way across the Southeast in your favorite grocery stores like Ingles, Whole Foods Markets and Greenlife Grocery as well as Earth Fare. Charley King’s is moving up in the world of sauce, and in celebration and promotion of Charley’s rise to sauce-making stardom we are celebrating with an entire afternoon and evening of Jamaican Jerk food!
Featuring selections of chicken, pork, beef, tofu, tempeh and vegetable, Charley King and his army of Jerkers will be set up in the courtyard at the Pisgah Brewing Taproom on Saturday, July 16th from 12pm-8pm for small plate service and tastings throughout the event! And, of course, it won’t be a Charley King event without one crucial ingredient… Reggae Music! Our dear friends of Chalwa will be joining us for a special 2-set performance, and more entertainment will be announced soon!
