Raiders! Filmmaker Q&A Double Feature!
Raiders! Double Billing with Filmmaker Q&A
Watch Raiders! The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made followed by a Q&A with Eric Zala, subject of the film and Director of the remake fan film. Then join us for a very special screening of the cult fan film made by Eric and his friends in the mid 80’s!
Raiders!: The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made
(Jeremy Coon & Tim Skousen, U.S., 2015, 95 min)
Picture, if you will, a shot-for-shot remake of Raiders of the Lost Ark. The concept is outlandish enough on its own, ambitious beyond reckoning; now imagine that this project was helmed entirely by teenagers over the course of seven years. Just 12 years old when they began their amateur adaptation of Steven Spielberg’s action classic, Chris Strompolos, Eric Zala and Jayson Lamb reconvened in 2014 to put the project to bed by tying up one remaining loose end: the notorious airplane scene, a duel to the death between Indiana Jones and a musclebound Nazi stooge.
Raiders!: The Story of the Greatest Fan Film Ever Made joins the young entrepreneurs, now grown men, as they reinvest in their childhood passion project and film one last scene. Featuring interviews with Eli Roth and John Rhys-Davies, this documentary is a celebration of creative dedication; a tribute to tributes, and an acknowledgement of a genuinely singular achievement in American filmmaking.

Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation
(Eric Zala, U.S., 1989, 100 min)
The Adaptation is a labor of love of the purest kind. Young movie buffs, inspired by Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, and Lawrence Kasdan, set out to reshoot the entirety of a major Hollywood blockbuster with a little more than 1/4000th of the budget of the “real” Raiders of the Lost Ark. The result is a transcendently comical, inspiring and inspired work of art that draws viewers in through sheer amazement at what can be achieved with seven summers of shooting and the collective willpower of a handful of friends.

One Song, One Voice, One Community- Flash Sing for Peace
What if we all took 5min, next Friday at 5:30, to come togther as one community, in one voice, to sing one song of peace? It will be a way of saying we want to get through the violence, through the pain, to understand each other better and that we want peace.
Regardless of your ability to carry a tune, just show up, as you are, to be with your neighbors for 5min. Bring your co-workers, your kids, your mate, your dog or chicken, whomever.
Show up at 5:25pm, song to be sung at 5:30. No rehersals. Sheets with lyrics will be passed out. No skills or talents necessary. However if you have a guitar, harmonica, mandolin etc and want to play, bring it.
This is not a political or religious event.nor should you make it be about your agenda. It’s a simple event, with a simple message- hope healing peace,
