Join Blue Ridge Parkway rangers for an easy to moderate, 2.5 mile roundtrip hike along the French Broad River floodway. We will talk about the third oldest river in the world, the flood of 1916, and the history of development in the area.
Meet at the dirt pull-off on the northern end of the French Broad River Bridge at Milepost 393.5
Bring water, wear good walking shoes, long pants (there is always a chance for poison ivy) and be prepared for changeable weather.
