Ice Cream for Breakfast collab event with The Hop Ice Cream and Chill Cereal Bar exclusively at The Hop on Merrimon Ave, in celebration of Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day (celebrated yearly on the first Saturday of February). In addition to their normal menu they will also have a few special flavors and toppings! Plus Chill Cereal Bar will be set up with their spread of cereal toppings and more!

Homeschoolers Hangout
Every Thursday 11:00am-1:00pm
That’s right, board games will make your kids smarter! When you play board games, you stimulate the areas of the brain responsible for memory formation and complex thought function (which is true for adults, too.) Games help develop cognitive skills, including decision-making, problem-solving, and logical analysis.. And the benefits continue on throughout a person’s life. In older adults, playing games has been shown to lower the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
Then why not join us for our Homeschooler’s Hangout? Every Thursday from 11am to 1pm our game passes will be only $3 per person.

Kids Game Night at Asheville Math. Kids will be playing chess, othello, battleship, Dominion, Pandemic, Wingspan…and tons more! They can play the games they know and love, and learn new ones too! Asheville Math instructors can also give advice and instruction on games like chess, too.
These are drop off events, so parents can get a couple hours to themselves!
Kids are welcome to bring their own snacks if they like

Established in 1954, Asheville Parks & Recreation manages a unique collection of more than 55 public parks, playgrounds, and open spaces throughout the city in a system that also includes full-complex recreation centers, swimming pools, Riverside Cemetery, sports fields and courts, and community centers that offer a variety of wellness-, education-, and culture-related programs for Ashevillians of all ages. With 8 miles of paved greenways and numerous natural surface trails, its complete portfolio acts as the foundation of a vibrant hub for the people of Asheville to connect with their neighbors and explore the natural beauty of a livable and walkable city.
