Holiday Handmade Market at The Refinery Creator Space
We’re thrilled to host a holiday market and open house alongside the organizations and artists here in The Refinery Creator Space. Come on in and take a peek inside open studios with handmade art for sale and enjoy live demonstrations + learn more about each of the talented artists as well as the organizations that call The Refinery home.
The festivities will continue from 6:00 – 9:00 pm later in the evening as Nick Moen’s The Bright Angle, a handmade design collective + workshop, celebrates their official opening. The Bright Angle will be cooking up pizzas in their newly hand-built kiln and welcoming visitors into their studio to celebrate a handufactured way of life! Yum!

Santa on the Chimney
DOWN THE CHIMNEY HE GOES!
Dec 7th & 14th 11:00am-2:00pm – Santa on the Chimney at Chimney Rock State Park. Ever wondered how Santa gets ready for all his chimney climbing on Christmas night? He practices on Chimney Rock! Make your list and bring it to Santa and Mrs. Claus, enjoy live holiday music, hot cocoa, cookies and kids’ activities, meet live Park animal educators and more. Included with admission.

From 8:00am-11:00am, stop in to Old Rock Cafe and have Breakfast with the Elves! Join Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves for morning breakfast and a special Christmas story at 10 a.m. You’ll not only enjoy festive breakfast foods, but you’ll also get to share your wish list with Mrs. Claus and learn a little more about Jolly Old St. Nick. No reservations required. First come, first served. Activities included with price of breakfast.

Candle Lighting Ceremony
Be surrounded by warmth and love as we remember and collectively mourn children who have died. This event is held in conjunction with the Compassionate Friends’ Worldwide Candle Lighting. Light refreshments will be served. All parents as well as relatives and friends of those who have experienced child loss are welcome.

13th Annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner
Thursday, 11.23.17, Thanksgiving Day, while our pizza ovens will get a rest we will be open from noon until 3pm for our 12th Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner.
For anyone who might be alone or in need come celebrate the day with us and many of our friends.
Enjoy a full Thanksgiving Dinner of turkey, ham, and all the traditional side dishes and of course a selection of homemade pies.
