Bright Star Theatre Christmas with Santa
Carols, Santa & Christmas Galore! The spirit of the most wonderful time of year is overflowing in this hysterical Christmas-wrapped comedy. Two zany and lovable elves, Scrunchie and Bangles, have accidentally misplaced some of Santa’s presents. When Santa finds out about the mishap he teaches the well-meaning elves that the real gift of the season are the people and friends we celebrate it with. Packed full of sing-a-long tunes, this show is the perfect way to get audiences of all ages into the Christmas spirit.

Pack Makers & Shakers Club: Make Pottery With The Dry Ridge School of Art (5+yrs)
Participants will be glazing ceramic bowls to be donated to Manna Food Bank as well as ceramic pendants of their very own! Ages 5 and UP. Adults and younger siblings are welcome to participate in this free event. (The pendants need to be fired in the kiln, so you will pick up your pendant at the library two weeks after the class.)

Drawing for Kids and the Young at Heart (K-7th Grade)
Author-illustrators Constance Lombardo and Laura Boffa will demonstrate how they draw and create characters. They will lead kids in brainstorming ways to come up with their own characters. And then everyone will draw! Paper and markers provided.
Constance’s illustrated middle grade novels, Mr. Puffball: Stunt Cat to the Stars and Mr. Puffball: Stunt Cat Across America have been purring their way into our hearts, while Laura’s picture book biography Writing Home: The Story of Author Thomas Wolfe has been spreading the love for Asheville’s native son.

Gettin’ Crafty for the Holidays (4-12yrs)
Come make holiday gifts for mom, dad, grandma, BFF, you name it! We’ll be making magnets ornaments, pomanders, duct tape pens and key chains, plus wrapping them while you’re here so there’s no peeking. Open to kids age 4-12. Call or come by the library to sign up. Space is limited.

After School Art Club (school aged)
Educators from Asheville Art Museum will visit the second Wednesday of every month to teach different aspects of art and provide an art activity. Kids learn about art and also make something cool to bring home. For school aged kids.
