This school day out program is a chance for children and their grandparents or other caregivers to participate in games and crafts with other families. Meet new people and have fun with us on these special days! Craft and game will be geared toward preschool through elementary aged children and their adults. You must have a child with you to participate.

2018 AVL 90-Second Newbery Film Festival
Welcome to the seventh annual 90-Second Newbery Film Festival—a yearly video contest in which kid filmmakers create weird short movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery award-winning books in about 90 seconds.
The movies we’ve received are hilarious, ingenious, and inspiring. We’ll be showing movies received from Asheville and the best from around the the country!
Tickets are free! However, we recommend reserving your seat in advance to ensure admittance.
