Learn the basics of engineering through hands on, interactive pro- jects and activities. Work alongside local engineers to develop proto- types and complete engineering challenges throughout the week. Participants will gain a fundamental understanding of engineering while exploring different specialties as they design, build, test and redesign their creations. Camp will be at the Dr. Wesley Grant Sr. Southside Center.

Explore the world of comics, car- tooning, and creating stories and adventures. Participants will focus on comics as an art form. Youth will learn about story development through creative games and activi- ties, and spend the week develop- ing their own comic adventures. A recreation program developed in collaboration with FIRST, this camp is for teens with mild to moderate cognitive or develop- mental delays who meet eligibility requirements. Daily activities in- clude group games, arts and crafts, nature exploration, special events and field trips. Camp will be held at West Asheville Recreation Center.
