Do you love to dress in costume and act? Ever dreamed of being a Movie Director? Here’s your chance to try it out! Students will work together to script, storyboard, act in, direct and edit a movie of their own design! We will celebrate at the end of the week with a screening for family and friends. Bring your imagination to life with Stop Motion Animation! Choose from clay, paper, white boards and more. Learn the art of stop motion animation and create your movie! The last day we will celebrate with a screening of movies for family and friends. Students will also get a DVD copy to take home. Class is designed for beginning animators and those with experience too. All materials (digital cameras, animation stands, art supplies) provided. July 10-14 (9 am – 3 pm) Ages 6-14. Baking adventures every day! Each day will bake from scratch take-home treats to share. We will also tour local bakeries, see behind the scenes and sample their goodies. *PWAP* Painting with a Purpose! Come out and support your community by painting with us on Wednesday night, Ages 9+ at 7:00. Proceeds from this painting class will go towards the Waters of Hope nonprofit!
Mountain Rivals UNC Asheville and Western Carolina will face off at McCormick Field Wednesday, March 29th. It’s our Vs. Cancer game presented by Great Clips- so come out to support the fight against Kid’s Cancer as the Bulldogs will shave their heads following the game.

Bring Your Camping Chair & Enjoy The Evening!
Enjoy an autumn walk in the park while learning to identify trees by their leaves and fruit (includes nuts, seeds, and berries). We will also discuss the importance of trees to the ecology in the fall. Naturalist Rosalie Estey will lead the walk.
Meet at 9 AM at the pavilion, wear sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry, no pets or strollers.
