Asheville Anarchist Field Day

Join your local anarchist community for the second annual day of fun, food, and all-ages activities in West Asheville! This event is open to everyone. Please bring friends, your mom, something yummy to throw on a grill or enjoy as a side, a blanket, and dining ware.

Meet local activists and learn how you can help un-fuck the world!

___1pm___ Community Potluck
Bring what you can, eat what you want! It’s a post-scarcity celebration of flavors. (Vegan & gluten-free strongly encouraged.)

___3pm___ Rebel Games
Including, but not limited to a serious water balloon fight. (Note: opt-in color for the balloon fight is *black*. Anyone wearing *black* is assumed to be participating.)

In case of rain, this event will be rescheduled to Sunday, August 5th. This event is not secretly a meeting or a riot.

Tiny Tykes Triathlon (3-6yrs)

Join us for our annual triathlon geared just for toddlers ages 3-6 years old. Kids will bike, run and splash their way through Pack Square Park. Participants should provide their own bike and helmet for the race. Preregistration required. See online registration for additional information. www.ashevillenc.gov/parks

Spring MAKE Camp (3+yrs)

Keep little makers’ creativity flowing during Spring Break with new, kid-friendly projects each weekday! Supplies included. Parent or guardian must remain on the premises. Ages 3+

Butterfly Bonanza

$5.00 for ages 16 and up, free for youth. Honored passes include America the Beautiful, Golden Age passports and Every Kid in a Park

 

What do butterflies and books have in common? Author Rita Venable will be at the Cradle of Forestry Discovery Center signing her book “Butterflies of Tennessee” and sharing her knowledge. A celebration of these fluttering pollinators this day will be all about butterflies!

Stargazing Party

Join us to celebrate the end of winter and to welcome in the stars of spring!

During this time of equal night and equal day we’ll discuss some of the seasonal changes happening at this time in the sky as well as the myths of some of the spring constellations and anything else astronomical. All ages are welcome and no background in astronomy or science is required.

3rd Annual Princess Charity Ball (all ages)

Join us for our grandest event of the season, our 3rd Annual Princess Charity Ball! Bring the whole family and join us for an enchanting afternoon of magic and merrymaking, all for a good cause. 10 of our talented Fairytale Princesses will take the stage to put on another spectacular and inspring performance! They will sing and dance and there may even be some surprises! Voted Best Children’s Show in Asheville! You don’t want to miss this opportunity to make lasting memories with your little one!
Before the show enjoy children’s vendors and entertainers, free crafts and activities, a silent auction, and our Princess Giftshop. Food and Beverage will be available for purchase as well as ‘Princess Vouchers’ ($5) that are good towards balloon wands and swords, t-shirts, princess makeovers, glitter manicures and more. We encourage the littles to dress in their favorite royal attire as there will be lot’s of pictures.
Join our royalty after the show for a Royal Dance Party, Meet and Greets and Picture Time. Have your cameras ready to doument these precious memories at the beautiful Asheville Masonic Temple.

Doors open for General Admission at 2pm, Theater doors open at 2:30, Show starts at 3pm
