Come jump and enjoy an indoor picnic with your family.
We will be having the party rooms open today for our general admission and removing our no outside food and drink rule for this event. Bring snacks, lunch, pizza, whatever you would like and enjoy our party rooms. General Admission for the day is $6.00 per child, no charge for adults and no charge to use the party rooms.
Food and drinks will have to be consumed in the party rooms only (water is okay in the the general carpeted area). When you are finished eating please return to the general carpeted sitting area to allow another guest space in the party rooms.

Join us on Saturday, May 13th at Carrier Park in Asheville, NC and support Safe Motherhood for the Mama’s Day 10K or 1 Mile Fun Walk/Stroller Push beginning at Carrier Park and continuing along the French Broad River. This run is flat and fast, making it great for all levels!
Proceeds benefit Mama Maisha, an Asheville-based non-profit making motherhood safer in Tanzania. Pregnancy complication-related deaths are rare in developed countries, but in Tanzania, one mother dies every single hour. Mama Maisha provides life-saving supplies, support, and education for women in need.
By registering for the Mama’s Day 10K, you are helping support the education of these local women and so much more!

Stop by anytime between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM to explore our six new HotSpots. Each HotSpot will feature a special activity as we seek to observe as many species as we can. Activities will include aquatic turtle trapping, a butterfly hunt, pond sampling, bird walks and much more!
Plus, don’t miss a special live reptile and amphibian program at the North Asheville Public Library at 11:00 AM!
Parking will be available at the Beaver Lake Sanctuary, the North Asheville Public Library and the Wild Birds Unlimited/Fresh Market parking lots.
The Special Olympics Spring Games are happening today at the T.C. Roberson High School’s football stadium and track. Special Olympics Buncombe County will host more than 550 athletes. Community members are invited to join families and volunteers as they cheer on competitors during track and field events.

The Henderson County Crafters Association is excited to announce that we will be adding an outdoor show this year. The outdoor show will be May 6th on the street in front of the Train Depot located at Maple Street and 7th Avenue in Hendersonville. This will be our first outdoor show!
The drop-in Henderson County Technology and Innovation Fair in BRCC’s Conference Hall will showcase elementary, middle and high school students and staff as they share innovative practices in our district – including virtual reality, robotics, and digital learning projects. Interested citizens and corporate partners are encouraged to drop by and get a glimpse into the world of technology-rich education available in our classrooms.
