Hannah Redmon and Jim Taylor with Mast General Store will lead this program on the seven basic principles of the “leave no trace” philosophy. Participants will also learn handy safety tips.

West Campus Open House
Come explore the newest addition to our campus from 1-4 p.m. and learn about the apprenticeship program we’re developing to provide older youth with the skills they need to find a job and earn a living wage. Refreshments will be served and we’ll dedicate the Veterans Memorial Terrace at 2:30 p.m.

Serviceberry (aka Juneberries) Picking
EDIBLE LANDSCAPING!
May-June – “The edible serviceberries are ripening throughout many of Asheville’s parks, such as Park Square Park and Carrier Park. The City of Asheville Parks & Recreation Department maintenance staff do not spray the serviceberry trees with any type of insecticide, herbicide or fungicide. The trees and their berries are free of any City-applied chemical. We encourage everyone to enjoy!”
