Sarge’s 12th Annual Downtown Dog Walk
Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation will hold its 12th Annual Downtown Dog Walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, in downtown Waynesville. The fundraiser supports the homeless dogs and cats of Haywood County — and is a much-loved community event, bringing hundreds of dogs and their families to Waynesville’s Main Street.
Early Registration is available now through Thursday, Aug. 3. Those who pre-register and complete payment by Aug. 3 may come to the Adoption Center from noon – 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 to pick up the official Dog Walk T-Shirt and get a goody bag.
Another fun thing to do is to be a virtual dog walker. You sponsor a foster dog and one of our volunteers will walk the foster dog in the parade. A dog that would otherwise been left behind gets to join the fun and possibly find a home.
