Cyclists of Asheville! We invite you to join us on Friday September 1st from 3-9pm at The Hop Ice Creamery (located across from HOLE – Hot Doughnuts and Fresh Coffee) for a night to celebrate the effort it takes to be multimodal! We have a 20ft bike rack that can accommodate make different kinds of bicycles as well as room to park kids bikes, unicycles, tandem bikes and bikes with trailers. All cyclists who ride their bike to this event (and to every Friday Night events at The Creamery) will receive $1 off an Ice Cream Flight 🙂

What do Librarians and Otters have in common? They will both be at the Nature Center on Saturday, September 1st for the 4th annual Library Day at the Nature Center! Join us as Buncombe County librarians invade the Nature Center with live animal storytimes, crafts, book character scavenger hunts, and so much more.
The event is from 10am-3pm at the Western North Carolina Nature Center on Saturday, September 1st.
Join us for a fun night of giant games and ice cream to help ease back into the school year! Asheville Plays will be bringing a giant Jenga, giant Connect Four and What-A-Wall, a fun interactive play wall with a felt board, magnet board, and chalkboard.

Should any Cosplayer feel uncomfortable, be harassed, etc, PLEASE alert a Wolfthorne Staff Member IMMEDIATELY. We will take care of it. Staff Members are marked with a special Lanyard.

***The Venue is UPSTAIRS. The building is a historic one and does not have an elevator, so PLEASE DO NOT wear extra long cosplays or large cumbersome ones up the stairs. Feel free to put them on inside, but keep yourselves SAFE and watch out for one another on the stairs.***

Children of all ages are invited to participate in an interactive geology lab using candy. Visitors will learn about the rock cycle and geologic time while viewing our geology exhibit and interacting with our collection of local minerals. Participants will walk away with an edible treat!

Come out to Carrier Park to hang out on a day that celebrates a geeky art that has become a passion to many, many people across the entire world!
We will be providing $1 bottles of water, however, please bring any additional refresments or accompaniments for cosplay changes that you will need. As this is a public park surrounded by children, we are going to request that you be respectful in your cosplay (please be decent) and in your speech (keeping cussing to a minimum).
Keep your eyes peeled! We may get visited by the talented Kittenkaboodle Cosplay!
We should have numerous photographers taking various photos throughout the event. Please be aware you will need to bring or ask them about release forms if that is an area that concerns you.
