Benefit Concert for House Fire Victims
Recently, a student at Jim Beaver’s School of Music and his father lost their home and everything in it due to the tragic house fires that occurred earlier this month. Jeff Herold (owner and operator at The Greenhouse) had the idea to throw them a benefit concert – and that’s exactly what we’re doing! On Thursday, Oct 26 at 6:30 Please come support a great family, hear some great live music courtesy of local favorite Derek Stipe (Stipe Brothers, Monday Morning), the Jim Beaver Band, & headlining, the hottest up and coming band in Hendersonville: Strange Avenues (Featuring JBSOM instructor Sam Frame). These guys are the REAL DEAL. You DO NOT want to miss this! Come and enjoy Chef Lee’s renown The Magic Bus food truck (a personal JBB fave) Basketball and Skee-Ball & over 100 beverages to choose from! $10 donation with all proceeds going to the family! Spooktacular Children’s Yoga Adventure (4-7yrs)
Join us for a Yoga Spooktacular with Maura Finn!
Kids ages 4 – 7 will have a blast learning basic yoga, mindfulness meditation and breathing techniques, along with deep relaxation and visualization to help manage stress.
Let your kids have fun while moving their bodies and engaging their minds with yoga! Festive shirts encouraged!
*Please have your child bring: water, a snack, and a towel. The most important item to bring is a smile and a sense of humor!
Maura Finn (RYT 200) is trained in Hatha yoga, with emphasis on children’s and teen yoga through Integral Yoga.

Eblen Charities Neighborhood Block/Halloween Party
Halloween may be spooky to some but to the the wonderful children and families in the Oak Forest Community it is one day that everyone looks forward to the entire year.
For many years long-time friends and Eblen supporters Beth and Matt Tisdale, and Jim and Sara Hart have brought the residents of Oak Forest together to provide a fun and safe Halloween event filled with games, prizes, food, costumes, a parade, among other activities that brings smiles to everyone.
The festivities begin at 5:00 PM on Bevlyn Drive and donations are gladly accepted. The street, situated between Overlook Drive and Hendersonville Rd, will be blocked to cars from 4 to 8pm.

An evening of food and a celebration of 5 years of work of Robbie Jaeger, co-founder of Asheville Creative Arts, the local professional company devoted to producing, presenting and creating innovative and sophisticated work for audiences of ALL ages! We will also provide puppet making and pizza for ages 4+. Come and bring the kids!

Halloween 5k
Join us for our 2nd Annual Halloween 5k on November 3rd, hosted by Reems Creek-Beech Presbyterian Church.
The 5k is a themed run and customes are encouraged! There will be a prize for best individual costume, as well as best couples costume. Post-race festivities include water, cider, popcorn, candy, and pizza. What better way to re-fuel after a run?!
Runners: There will be two routes this year. One route will be an easy breezy run through the Reems Creek Valley, while the other route will include a steeper incline up Blackberry Inn Rd. Runners can choose their course the day of. The race will start and end (for everyone) in the parking lot of the church.
Registration beings at 9:30 the Race starts at 10:00 am
Registration Disclaimer: Register on or before Oct. 19th to ensure a tee-shirt!
*Proceeds from ticket sales go towards missional efforts funded by the church. Those missional efforts include: Snacks sacks (providing a meal for kids in the area who need food during the summer months), Black Mountain Home for kids, NBSM, Habitat for Humanity, as well as international aid in Malawi and Guatemala.

RCBPC Halloween Festival 10/28/17
Reems Creek Beech Presbyterian Church will be having its first annual Halloween Festival on Saturday, October 28th from 5:30-8:00pm. Come on out for carnival games, raffles, costume contest, snacks, and plenty of spooky fun. Event is free and perfect for kids of all ages. Everyone is welcome, so come ready to test out this year’s halloween costume and sweet tooth. We look forward to seeing you!
