This is a free event but a “love offering” will be collected for a precious little one named Vivianna Baird. Little Vivianna lost her father in a car accident just 6 weeks before she was born. Mom ‘n Pop Up Shop
This one’s for the whole family! Come have a fun afternoon with (or without!) the kiddos and pups. Habitat Tavern & Commons is hosting its 2nd Annual Mom ‘n Pop Up Mini Festival on Saturday, December 15th from 12-4pm. You can shop from a few handmade crafty vendors and local wellness shop Violet Owl Wellness, enjoy hot chocolate and candy canes (plus beer, wine, kombucha, or ginger ale of course), and have a cozy holiday outing without the usual stress of holiday shopping.
There will be a hot chocolate & apple cider station for the kiddos to enjoy something sweet while the mamas get a chance to unwind with a mini shoulder massage! ♥
There will be a craft table for the kids to make a little holiday creation to take home hosted by Roots + Wings School of Art and Design, and a table hosted by Rowan Berry Farm where you or your kiddos can make some butter to take home with you! The wonderful Asheville Fairy Hairwill be here slingin’ fairy hair, so you and your littles can leave looking as festive as you feel!

Folkmoot Christmas Big Band Concert
For a toe-tapping good time, join Folkmoot and the Blue Ridge Big Band on Sunday, December 10 at 3PM, for a holiday celebration featuring 17-piece Big Band performing jazzy Christmas tunes. Held in the Queen Auditorium at the Folkmoot Center, attendees are encouraged to bring the whole family for holiday music and refreshments. Admission is $5 per person.

Take a spin on an iceless skating rink
Dec 18th-Jan 1st
Lace up your skates and take to the iceless skating rink located at the Visitor Center at 201 South Main St! At the Iceless Skating Rink, an annual tradition, the “ice” is actually made of a slick plastic that enables you to easily glide in any temperature. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children, which includes your skate rental and can be purchased on-site. Other family-friendly activities are available while you wait, including curling, games and making s’mores.
The rink will be open every day through January 1st (except Christmas Day) and the hours vary by day, weather permitting.
This event is organized by Hendersonville in Bloom.
Free holiday hay rides will pick up and drop off from this location from 5-8pm on December 20-22 so you can enjoy Main Street all lit up for the holidays!

2017 Annual Holiday Art Sale
Featuring ceramics, prints, photographs, paintings, glass, and sculpture
UNC Asheville’s Department of Art and Art History will hold its annual Holiday Art Sale December 1 – 2, 2017, in UNC Asheville’s S. Tucker Cooke Gallery, located on the ground floor of Owen Hall. Visit the sale between 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday and between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The sale is open to the public.
A wide variety of functional and decorative pottery, drawings, prints, paintings, photography, glass, and sculpture crafted by UNC Asheville students will be on sale with pieces beginning at $5. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Department of Art and Art History.
