Greenway Warmer Celebration
Asheville’s Greenway Warmer will not only serve as a celebration of Asheville’s greenway progress it will also feature a keynote speaker with experience in making natural surface trail systems work well for a community. Much of the discussion during the Greenway Warmer will center on a concept called “Asheville Unpaved.” These can include dirt or gravel trails.
Come to this free event and learn how cities across the Southeast are embracing natural surface trail systems as elements that promote livability, economic development and placemaking.
This celebration will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 13, in the first floor conference room at the Buncombe County Administration Building, 200 College St.
Light refreshments will be served.

We will present three performances in celebration of the holiday spirit, including the exciting Brightest and Best by Shawn Kirchner, selections from Britten’s Ceremony of Carols with children’s voices and jubilant Gloria in Excelsis Deo, by Jeffrey Ames, with brass and percussion. We’ll have The Boar’s Head Carol to usher in the season, Rutter’s Carol of the Magi and a medieval take on “Rudolph,” that will add much mirth! Join us for this concert for the whole family.
