Program includes recognition of the longevity of this historic organization from our State and Local government , Liberty Road Band, Southern Lights Cloggers, cake and ice cream, BBQ lunch plate $10, WHKP live broadcast, Family Fun and yard games, several raffles and a handmade quilt silent auction. And of course featuring our Curb Market Vendors that have made this such a special place to visit for 100 years.

FREE Eclipse Viewing + Rocket Launch
Join us at Jackson Park in Hendersonville for an Eclipse Viewing and Model Rocket Launch! Registration is not required and this event is FREE for children and their accompanying adults! There will be multiple model rocket launches throughout the event, and spectators are welcome to drop-in anytime between 1pm and 4pm. Team Hands On! will be located at shelter #1 next to the new playground!

The Great American Eclipse
Experience the wonder of the solar eclipse at the North Carolina Arboretum on Monday, April 8th.
A partial solar eclipse will be visible from Asheville – during maximum eclipse at 3:00 PM, roughly 85% of the Sun will be obscured by the Moon.
To mark this exciting event, the Arboretum is partnering with the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies to include you in special eclipse day activities for all ages!
Receive a pair of complementary NASA eclipse glasses to safely view the eclipse!
Watch a livestream broadcast from the path of totality featuring telescope views and NASA and Exploratorium scientists and educators!
Learn about how researchers are studying this natural experiment – what happens when the moon blocks the sun? – and contribute to NASA participatory science projects for all ages.
