Open House & Ribbon Cutting for New Asheville Office
Due to forecasts for a chance of snow and freezing temperatures, the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation is rescheduling its ribbon cutting and open house 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, January 18. (The original event was set for Tuesday, December 12.)
The organization’s new home is a recently renovated cottage built in 1949. The former office next door is now the headquarters for the Foundation’s Kids in Parks program, creating a mini-campus for the nonprofit. The renovation was completed by Atriax, PLLC working with Frellick Brothers Custom Home Builders.
The offices are at 322 Gashes Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28803. From downtown Asheville, take I-240 East toward the Blue Ridge
Parkway for approximately 4.5 miles. Take Exit 9 toward the Blue Ridge Parkway and US 74-A. Turn left onto the ramp for I -40 East. Before the end of the ramp, turn right onto Gashes Creek Road. Turn right as the road forks at Gashes Creek Baptist Church. The offices are a quarter mile down on the left.
