Join us at the Linwood Crump Shiloh Community Center on August 18th, 2024, for a day filled with giving back and preparing our scholars for success. This year, our goal is to sponsor 500 scholars, and we need your help to make it happen!

You can help them ensure all kids have the supplies they need to start the new year! The Annual Ingles Tools for Schools Supply Drive will be held August 2nd at the Ingles on Smokey Park Hwy. All of those supplies collected will be distributed to the local children in the community to help them get the school supplies they need to start the school year successfully. Montford Glow Nights (6-12yrs)
The lights go down and the glow goes up! Kids ages 6-12 enjoy glowing fun in the gym under black lights. Each month offers a different glow activity.

National Night Out with Buncombe County Sheriffs
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office invites our community to attend our National Night Out Event on Tuesday, August 6th. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes partnerships between law enforcement and the community to make our neighborhoods safer and more caring places.
The first 100 visitors will receive a complimentary meal.
Enjoy food trucks, ice cream, and games, and receive free bike helmets and baby car seats while supplies last.

Asheville Bike Fest
The 2nd annual Bike Fest, presented by Cane Creek Cycling Components in support of Asheville on Bikes, returns to Asheville on Friday and Saturday (7-14 & 15 – 23) with Gran Fondo Asheville rolling out on Sunday, July 16, hosted at Rabbit Rabbit (75 Coxe Ave, Asheville, NC 28801) in the heart of downtown Asheville.
Bike Fest offers a variety of experiences for every type of rider. The event kicks off on Friday with Bicycle Industry Night and features fast-paced dynamic presentations from WNC’s cycling entrepreneurs, service providers, and industry leaders.
On Saturday, Asheville’s downtown open-air event space, Rabbit Rabbit hosts a variety of cycle-centric activities from pop-up bike parks, town rides, clinic, and product expo.
On Sunday, Bike Fest combines with Gran Fondo Asheville, a Gran Fondo National Series event, which was born of a desire to combine the best aspects of bike racing and social rides to create an event that’s fun, challenging, competitive, and inclusive. Gran Fondo National Series has a remarkable history of creating partnerships and enriching premium events, to create engaging cycling experiences.
Family Day on the Greenway
Family Day on the Joseph McDowell Historic Catawba Greenway in Marion with the McDowell Trails Association, in celebration of the Year of the Trail. All day activities, Barefoot Baby Kid Zone, music at the amphitheater, birding walk, hands-on demonstrations by the Lake James Environmental Association, food and icee trucks. Free MTA memberships offered during the event.
Splash Bash
2nd Annual Splash Bash at Camping World in Marion NC. Water slides, a 20 foot dual lane Inferno Slide, a dunk tank, a 50 foot obstacle course that ends in a water slide, foam parties EVERY HOUR, food trucks, a petting zoo (that will have a baby wallaby, llama, baby bobcat and more), and a toddler zone specifically and only for the 3 and under attendees. Inside the pavilion there will be vendors, including a section just for the youngest of entrepreneurs.
