6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall
Join us for a great evening of storytelling and music. Abby, an internationally known street performer, is one of the few professional spoon players in the U.S. She has studied American folk percussion, music and folklore while traveling the country by foot and rail. Chris Rodrigues is a one-man band and multi-instrumentalist from the Asheville area. He has a unique blues/Appalachian style of music and performance. Together, Abby and Chris offer up some complex rhythms to original songs and standard gospel songs.
The evening will be preceded by supper served from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The cost is $5.00 for Adults and $3.00 for Children.
There is no admission for the program, but we ask that you consider making a donation at the concert for homeless ministries supported by Central UMC. This event is sponsored by the Central UMC 180th Anniversary Committee.
