Twilight in the Treetops- Night Climbs

The Adventure Center of Asheville will be offering a night climb at the Treetops Adventure Park. Watch the world transform from dusk to night while climbing in the trees. Trails will be illuminated to give climbing the obstacles a new perspective. Over 15,000 colored lights, plus colorful lasers sparkling on thousands of leaves, cables, rope, and platforms throughout the park will create a mystical tree climbing experience like you can’t imagine.

The Twilight session start time is 4:30. The introductory price this year is $37/person. Standard day sessions are $47. The Red course is not open during the Twilight climbs.

Headlock on Hunger Food Drive

Join #teamheadlock Wednesday July 11th at the Ingles on Tunnel Rd, we are collecting food for kids on break from school who may not have enough to eat at home! Your donation of easy to prepare food will help a child in need. Meet WWE Hall of Famers Jim Ross, Edge, Beth Phoenix and JJ Dillon!

Fairy Garden Workshop

Come join the fairy team for a magical day of creating your own complete, tabletop fairy garden. Gardens can include a fairy house, garden paths, and much more all beautifully landscaped in a garden dish. Children may participate with an accompanying adult. No skills needed. $50. Limited to 12

Fairy Days (4+yrs)

June 21 & 22, 9:30-11:30 & 1:00-3:00

A wonderful, imagination filled day for children ages 4 and up to play in the magical world of Fairies. Come join our Fairy team for an exciting, fun-filled day in the Fairy Garden. Activities include Fairy tea, crafts and a tour of the Fairy Garden.

Limited to 12 children per session. $20 per child, $35 for two siblings. Register early as this is one of our most popular events!

End of Summer Bash

Come celebrate the end of summer with Historic Johnson Farm! Games, wagon rides, popcorn and lemonade. Bring a picnic lunch to eat beforehand. FREE!

Nora Brooks Historical Presentations

Meet the husband and father behind the great general Robert E. Lee through the eyes of his youngest daughter, Mildred. This performance is biographical in content, fully researched and presented with humor, drama and passion. Nora presents in full period dress and thrills to interact with the audience. Questions on the characters, life of the soldier, military events and the era in general are welcomed and lead to lively discussions about the many facets of this time in American history. Audiences of all ages will enjoy this step back in time. $5 adults, $3 students.

Teddy Bear Tea

Children bring your stuffed animals for a teddy bear tea. Snacks, drinks, parachute play, and stories are included. $3 per child, adults are free. Space is limited, so please RSVP at jfarm@hcpsnc.org or 828-891-6585.

Grand and Me

Grandparents-bring your children for a child-friendly tour of the farm including games and a wagon ride! Just $10 per family. Register and purchase tickets ahead of time via the link.

HCSO Benefit for the Hawkins and Turpin Families

A benefit for two HCSO families who have children that have had major medical events in their little lives. Join us for a day of family fun including food, music, a charity motorcycle ride, cake walk, and lots of other family activities!

Yoga & Art on Monday Evenings (3+yrs)

Drop off your child on Monday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm and craft in the next room or simply take time to yourself!!!

Miss Emma will guide children through mindful movement and making with a playful yoga practice, and a visual arts project.

This playful practice helps children increase mind and body awareness, strength, flexibility, focus and creativity.
Miss Emma has over 10 years of experience teaching children in a variety of settings. She holds an NC Teaching License in Elementary Education and is a certified yoga teacher (RYS 250)
