We’ll be open from 2-10pm.
Our chacoal grills will be out and available for anyone to use all day. We’ll host a community potluck starting at 4pm.
Pack a picnic for friends and family or sides to share. We’ll take care of charcoal, plates, napkins, and cutlery.
The downtown parade starts at 6pm.
Fireworks begin at 9:45pm.

Help for Hendo! Clothing Drive, Haircuts and more!
Sanctuary Brewing Company and Lux Salon are partnering again for the second event in our Give Forward series, this time to offer haircuts, resume building, job skills, makeup tutorials, a meal and a clothing drive!
Donations are now being accepted for the following: Makeup (new), clothing (business), non-perishable food, hygiene items, and basic office supplies (notebooks, pens, etc.) .

Family Paint at Bold Rock
Bring the entire family & join us at Bold Rock in Mills River to paint to these bright & sunny kites! Enjoy lunch while you paint. We provide everything you need to create your very own masterpiece – including a 16×20 canvas, step by step instruction, paint and the use of brushes, aprons, easels, etc. Collaborate on one canvas, or treat every member of the family to his or her own painting. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class.
One canvas $25. Each additional canvas $15.

6th Annual Haywood County Cops On Top
Law enforcement officers and firefighters across Western North Carolina will be stationed on the rooftop of the Waynesville Belk building near the Walmart shopping center and will remain there around-the-clock for three days to raise money for the Special Olympics of North Carolina.

VALDESE: Independence Day Celebration
2024 Independence Day will be held in conjunction with Valdese Summer Concert Series on June 28, 2024 (held annually the Friday before the 4th).
Each year the Town of Valdese celebrates Independence Day by holding an impressive fireworks display on the football field behind the Old Rock School. Regarded as one of the most impressive fireworks displays in the area, the Town of Valdese sponsors this celebration with a brilliant light display that bursts at a lower altitude which allows for a variety of swirls and explosions. Plenty of ooohs and ahhhs for everyone!
Main Street will close at 5pm to allow cars for the Classic & Antique Car Cruise In to fill the downtown area. Download the Cruise In Rules & Map Here – Participants must follow all guidelines outlined in this document to participate.
Amusement Rides for all ages & plenty of great eats.
Waldensian Style Wines will be pouring all night! Cool down with a famous Brenda’s Peach Bellini!
