We will be having our 2nd annual book bag giveaway on August 11, 2018. We will be giving out 132 free book bags to the first 132 kids! Kids must be present to receive a book bag and only one book bag per child. Each book bag will have school supplies! We will start giving the book bags out at 10:30am until supplies last! We will also have free kids meals dine in only! Please remember kids have to be present to receive the bookbags and free kids meals! Please share our post to help get the word out!

Open Volunteer Time
Each Saturday, we at the Veterans Healing Farm need Volunteers to help us on the Farm. We will need to plant, weed, harvest, make small repairs, etc.
If you are able to provide a few hours or even only one hour, we would appreciate the help.
The Farm is a beautiful place to begin the weekend, get some fresh air and make some new friends.

JLA Touch-A-Truck 2023
Touch-A-Truck
is an annual, community-wide event where both kids and kids-at-heart have the opportunity to see, touch, climb, and learn about vehicles of all types! Guests will get to meet the trucks and the drivers who operate them.
Children can “Truck-Or-Treat” during the festival! Family-friendly costumes are encouraged but not required. Fake or real weapons with the costumes are not permitted in the venue.
Food, beverages, and additional activities for kids and adults will be on-site as well. There will be a quiet hour from 11am – 12pm for individuals sensitive to loud noises. Parental supervision is required.
Proceeds from this event support the Junior League of Asheville and fund the Be The Change Grant Program. Tickets for Touch-A-Truck are $5 per person for ages 3 and up.
You can also pay with cash or card at the gate. Exact change is appreciated!
