it’s that time of year! Applefest is almost upon us, and this year we’re recruiting you to help us make our award winning Apple Pie Saison! Bring your knives, coreres, cutting boards, and mad skills and help us break down apples that we will then bake and add right to the brew! We’ll meet at 1:00 and Sanctuary will provide the apples :). Summer Shearing at Good Fibrations
Open invitation to Good Fibrations Summer shearing. Watch long time shearer Jonathon Hearne as he deftly shears the heavy summer mohair fleeces from young kids being sheared for the first time to our beloved geriatric doe Copper for her 25th shearing! While each goat is already contained, hooves are trimmed; goats are weighed, and checked/medicated for parasites; vaccinations are administered. This is a day that truly is all about the goats! It’s interesting to see the sheared goats join the herd…they don’t often recognize each other without their fleece! The fun begins!
