Join in on a FREE historic fun run/walk on September 22 anytime between 9 and 11 am at the Joseph McDowell Catawba River Greenway, McDowell House trailhead. Gather your family or friends or just do it yourself.
Answer historic questions about the founding of McDowell County while you run or walk a portion of the greenway. The run/walk will go around Round Hill.

The Black Mountain-Swannanoa Valley Chamber of Commerce will welcome the new Black Mountain YMCA with a ribbon cutting on Sept. 26 at 2 p.m.
