The Queen’s Storytime: Featuring Ida Carolina

Miss Ida Carolina will read children’s books and pose for pictures after storytime! We’ll also have a coloring page featuring an illustration of Ida for each of our young readers to take home.

Ida Carolina is the (Drag) Queen Elizabeth of the South. A former Miss Blue Ridge Pride and Asheville Sweetheart, she is the current reigning Miss Midwest Comedy Queen.

We believe children should be familiar with all types of humans! Many children express gender fluidity at an early age. Our focus is all about expressing yourself in your own way. We want to create a safe and embracing environment for all attending our storytimes. We hope to teach empathy, compassion, and provide a unconventional positive role model. In play and in everyday life, it’s important for children to feel comfortable and creative!

$5 / adult suggested donation

The book titles will also be for sale/order if kids want their own copy of the books to read. Cash and card accepted.

Ivory Road’s Halloween Hootenanny

Join us for a devilishly good time celebrating Halloween with a dinner buffet, costume contest, kids’ games, spooky tunes, pumpkin decorating, and (weather-permitting) s’mores around the campfire!

Kids’ Activities will go from 5-6:30pm – we’ll have Bowling for Skulls, Candy Cornhole, and a Pumpkin-Decorating Table.

Our Costume Contest will begin at 6:30 with PRIZES for winners in the following categories: Best Kids (Ages 12 and below), Best Adult, Best Group, and Best Pet! Winners announced by 7-7:15pm.

Dinner Buffet will begin at 5pm – we are currently working on the menu offerings! While it won’t be All-You-Can-Eat, there will be plenty for second helpings! $15 includes drink (we’ll have wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options as well) and the dessert bar, $9 for kids 10 and under. Everyone in costume saves 10% on buffet price!

No need to make reservations ahead of time, we’ll have plenty for everyone!
