Join us in launch party celebration for the completion of the Love Asheville Mural at 68 Haywood St. in downtown Asheville. We want you to meet the makers and planners. We plan to take photos together and invite some food trucks to join us. Please bring your friends and co-workers! It’s free!
What is it? A Temporary Public Art Project developed by an ad-hoc committee from the Haywood Street Advisory Team, Downtown Commission and Public Art and Cultural Commission. The resulting piece is a 156 sq. ft. mural is painted on panels and installed on the south wall of 68 Haywood St. The panels together read “LOVE ASHEVILLE.” Each letter of the 13 panel mural are uniquely designed by a different local design agency or graphic designer, with the overall theme reflective of Asheville Grown’s brand and on-going campaign to support local businesses. Coordination with the designers was led by Jenny Fares of Sound Mind Creative and Asheville Design Salon.

Asheville on Bikes hosts it’s 12th annual Pumpkin Pedaller, presented by New Belgium Brewing, on Sat. Oct. 26th. The ride is free, open to the public, and includes a variety of routing options. All routes, (except for the all ages roll about) are on active city streets. Participants should review / pre-ride the route before attending the event.

Its October and it’s our birthday!!! We turn 2 this month and we want to celebrate with you. Please come out and join us Saturday October 6th. We will be here all day 10-6 With artists demos. Keith Prince of Prince pottery will be here with his potters wheel throwing clay along with some of our other potters. There will be live music, sweet treats, and other demos happening along with arts and crafts for the kiddos.

Spend your evening learning about the Red and Grey Wolves of North America with your family! We’ll start with an indoor presentation on these elusive creatures, followed by a trek to our wolf habitats located onsite at the Nature Center for a howling session. Discover the legends and lore of these top predators and find out the truth about wolves.
This event is an after-hours adventure where we will learn about red and grey wolves, enjoy hot cocoa and snacks, and finally walk through the dark to our wolf exhibits to join them in howling our hearts out!
This kid-friendly version of our Wolf Howl event is geared toward families. $10 for children, $18 for adults.
The 2nd Annual Biltmore Park Turkey Trot returns on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28th at 9am. Come join us for this fun and festive 5K run/walk that winds through beautiful Biltmore Park Town Square and the surrounding neighborhood in South Asheville.
Thanksgiving is the largest running holiday with families all over the country! Turkey Trots are a great way to start the day. Join us at Biltmore Park and enjoy some fresh air and exercise before gathering around the table for your Thanksgiving feast! You’ll share miles and smiles with your family and friends as part of this fun, annual tradition.
The Biltmore Park Turkey Trot course is a USATF certified 5k. The route will begin and end in Biltmore Park in South Asheville and run through Biltmore Park Town Square and the surrounding neighborhood.
All participants registered as of November 1st are guaranteed to receive a finisher medal upon completion, a complimentary long-sleeve t-shirt, and swag from our partners!
PARKING
Biltmore Park Town Square will have ample, free parking on race morning. There are plenty of parking spots on the streets and throughout the parking decks.
FINISHER MEDALS
All finishers pre-registered on or by November 1st are guaranteed a 2019 Biltmore Park Turkey Trot 5k Finisher Medal.
RACE SHIRTS
All participants that choose the t-shirt option, will receive a 50/50 poly-blend long sleeve shirt when they register on or by November 1st. After this date shirts will be available in limited sizes and quantities online for $10.
