Dress Up Like a Fairy Contest (open to all ages)

Show off your best fairy costume at Bullington Gardens 1st annual Dress Up Like a Fairy Contest! Show up in your magical fairy outfit, get your picture taken and have our social media followers choose the winner. Winner of the Dress Up Like a Fairy Contest will win their very own Fairy Tea Party complete with wand making activities, a guided walk through the fairy trail and tea and cookies for your party of 8.

All entrants must sign a media release form and agree to have their picture posted on Facebook and Instagram. Suggested donation per entrant is $20.00.

No registration is necessary, just show up looking magical!

Fairy Tea Party (Ages 7 and up)

Join the magical fairies at Bullington Gardens for a special Fairy Tea Party. Start your journey with a guided walk through the Fairy Trail. Your child will make their own wand followed by tea and cookies in the pavilion. This event is for children ages 7 and up. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

Three different dates to choose from! June 10th, June 24th, or July 12th at 10:00AM

$28.00/per child, $21 for Friends of Bullington Gardens. Limit of 12 children per event.

Must register on Bullington’s website to secure your spot.

Build Your Own Fairy House

Build Your Own Fairy House class for kids aged 5-8 and 9 and up. Your child, accompanied by one adult will create magical fairy homes using natural materials like bark, sticks, and moss with a tree cookie base. It’s a fun and creative way to spend time together and bring your own fairy magic home.

  • First class, June 22, 10:00-11:30 AM for children 5-8 years old. Maximum of 10.
  • Second class, June 22, 1:00PM-2:30PM for children 9 and up. Maximum of 12.

Must register on Bullington’s website.

Asheville Tourists PLAY BALL Night 2024 (4yrs-16yrs)

Come join us for an evening of fun at McCormick Field on June 14th – FREE Admission. Complete with your favorite ballpark eats for dinner and fun activities on the field! Get ready to … Play catch in the outfield (bring your own glove and ball) -Kids 16 & under will be able to take BP at home plate with whiffle balls -See how fast you can throw at speed pitch & more! Concession Stands will be open for you to be able to enjoy some of your favorite McCormick Field foods. **PS- The first 200 kids in the gate are going home with a special gift!

Daytime Family Friendly Dungeons & Dragons

Unfurl your scrolls and ready your spells for an evening of epic tales!


Embark on a journey through mythical landscapes and treacherous dungeons. With dice in hand, heroes will rise, and fates will intertwine as stories unfold. Your saga awaits. Let adventure capture your spirit and guide you to unseen worlds!
Family Friendly Ticket – Embark on a wondrous journey with our Family Friendly ticket, perfect for adventurers aged 14 and under. Enjoy the magic of D&D from 1:00 – 4:00pm in the lively atmosphere of our main cafe for just $15. A delightful way to introduce the young ones to the realm of fantasy! Includes a free soft drink with refills and a free game pass for the day.

All campaigns are custom, homebrew experiences created by our in-house Dungeon Masters! As always, we’ll provide all the elements needed for gameplay: character, dice, miniatures, etc. You are welcome to bring your own pre-made character if you’d like. If you bring your own character they must follow these guidelines:
-The character must be level 4
-Cannot be a fantasy race with a “fly speed” (able to fly)
-Does not make use of “Feats”
-Uses the “Standard Array” for stats (15,14,13,12,10,8 – before racial bonuses are applied)

Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned player, this event promises laughter, teamwork, and a grand time. Let the adventure begin at Well Played!
