The Rock and Roll Playhouse, a family concert series hosted at Grey Eagle, Port City Music Hall, First Avenue, Brooklyn Bowl, The Capitol Theatre, Industry City, Ardmore Music Hall, The Sinclair, Boulder Theater, and Thalia Music Hall, allows kids to “move, play and sing while listening to works from the classic-rock canon” (NY Times). Using the songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history, The Rock and Roll Playhouse offers its core audience of babies and kids games, movement, and stories and an opportunity to rock out. The Rock and Roll Playhouse is an early and often first introduction to a child’s lifelong journey with live music and rock and roll.

Sign up for the ultimate stargazing experience!
The Stargazer’s Journey is designed to allow a small intimate group to work directly with an astronomical educator while they observe the night sky.
The evening will begin at our restaurant, Smiley’s, where your educator will tell you about the history of our facilities while you enjoy dinner.
You will then move to our south observation deck to watch the sunset with 360-degree views of the Pisgah National Forest including views of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Once the skies become dark, the event will move to our sky deck where optical telescopes will be ready to provide stunning views of distant objects in the night sky. We will select planets, nebulae, galaxies, stars, and clusters from the best of what the season has to offer.
(Should weather conditions not cooperate, we will offer refunds or rainchecks to our guests for Stargazer’s Journey).
